All of us are unique, precious works of art; we enter the world pure, unblemished masterpieces. As we age, however, our perfect originality becomes twisted into an almost unrecognizable shape. Through our choices or the choices made for us, through self-inflicted or external wounds, we become broken—all of us.

Some of us—but not all—are fortunate to be surrounded by people who love us enough to help piece us back together.

Since 1991 we have worked to assist those who have fallen into deep, personal crisis with no one to help them up (Ecclesiastes 4:10). While we originally focused our efforts on crisis pregnancy intervention, we have expanded that vision to address even deeper issues.

Much as an artist doesn’t work to merely capture what something looks like, we don’t focus on the external circumstances or symptoms surrounding a crisis. Instead, we look inward, to the underlying causes of brokenness, and work to restore personal dignity and hope. We help restore the original masterpiece. We believe that the work we do has a significant impact on our community; when people are inwardly restored they are able to return to the community equipped to serve and care for others.

Our work has little to do with mere human sympathy and everything to do with the overwhelming recognition that we’ve all fallen and we all need someone to help pick us up. We are all in need of the miracle of unconditional grace. The redemption and restoration of our lives through the cross of Christ compels us to share our hope and our lives with all we meet.
