Gift Cards
Sometimes a small card for groceries or gas at Dillons or Wal-Mart can mean making it to the end of the month. Cards tagged $25.00-$50.00 work best.
Visa and MasterCard gift cards can be used to help with utilities.
A card for a quiet outing at an inexpensive restaurant can be a balm to the spirit.
Clothing and children’s store cards are also welcome.
Refreshments
A cold soda or water - a hot cup of coffee or tea - maybe a piece of candy or a cookie.
Sometimes while waiting in reception area. Sometimes while in a tough counseling session - They all contribute to an atmosphere of kindness and thoughtfulness that relaxes and encourages those we serve.
Journals
A personal journal can be a priceless gift on one's healing journey.
Books
When a hurting person is a reader, the gift of the right book at the right time can create huge breakthroughs. HopeNet is developing an inventory of books we can gift to those we serve. Please call for a current list of needed titles.
