Perry joined the HopeNet team after relocating back to Wichita with her family to be closer to her support systems. Perry received her bachelor and master’s degrees in Social Work from the University of Kansas in 2011 and 2012. She began her career working with children and adolescents in the foster care system before venturing into serving individuals in hospital settings. Perry has worked on Pediatric and NICU units in hospitals but most recently was a therapist in a psychiatric and substance use dependence hospital in Kansas City.
Perry practices social work with the belief that we are called by God to lift one another up and provide hope and encouragement; ideas consistent with the mission of HopeNet. Perry was drawn to HopeNet because of their belief that we all fall and need a beacon of hope when struggling which is found through God’s love and light.
Perry was raised in Wichita but has been living in Kansas City for the past decade. Her family plays a significant role in her life which was her driving force to return home. Her hobbies include teaching tennis, bowling, and spending time with family.
