Amber Carter is an Administrative Assistant at HopeNet, working primarily in operations, facilities and IT, as well as assisting the Administrative Director.
Amber brings the ability to take an idea and clarify and improve it. She thinks through problems and projects and sees a full picture of strengths and weaknesses. Amber is also an advocate for those who have been forgotten or pushed aside in society, which enriches her administrative tasks at HopetNet.
Amber spent fifteen years working in the faith-based non-profit sector serving urban communities in Houston, south Dallas and Wichita. Most recently, Amber and her husband served as urban missionaries with World Impact in Wichita, Kansas. She was a part of starting a movement of women’s retreats that are specifically designed for urban women, offering dignity and a sisterhood among the women.
Through overcoming personal tragedies in her life, Amber believes that it is because of God’s mercies that are new every morning that she is able to pour into others’ lives. Amber is married to her best friend, Ryan and together they have the honor of raising the best two boys they know, Benjamin and Nathaniel. The Carters love the outdoors, are Houston Astros baseball fans to the core and love hosting guests in their home.
