Charity Schaulis has served as the executive director of HopeNet since 2011. The position maximized her strengths as a leader and developer. Charity was the key principle in the million dollar capital campaign to renovate the HopeNet property which radically transformed 7000 square feet and tripled the use of space. Charity believes in investing in others who are seeking personal change. Since 2011, the HopeNet team has quadrupled the number of counseling and coaching clients they see each year, as well reaching over 2000 through HopeNet’s training services. Charity is passionate about equipping the community to come alongside others when life falls apart.
Charity graduated Cum Laude from the Biblical Institute of Los Angeles with a B. A. in Psychology in 1988. Charity focused her career on Industrial Psychology where her aptitude for strategic administrative planning and human resource skills developed. After 10 years of women’s ministry development and team building, she began coaching young people in the art of public speaking, directing competitive speech events for thousands of participants statewide and nationally for the National Christian Forensics and Communications Association. Often drawn to start up projects, in 2005 Charity was hired to provide administrative services and instruction in competitive speech and value debate for the launch of a new school: The Classical School of Wichita. In 2009, Charity became founding business process executive of Christian Youth Theater Wichita, developing process and volunteer training materials to successfully launch the 21st National affiliate.
Having experiencing the transformational love of Christ, Charity believes in investing in others who are seeking personal change. With her vision, leadership and passion, Charity seeks to awaken and equip the community to come alongside others when life falls apart. Charity’s greatest personal successes include celebrating 27 years of marriage to Rick and enjoying their 3 grown children.
Charity believes that God is in the business of changing lives and it is her joy to bring light to the process.
