Engagement Specialist and LPC Intern
Stephanie Weishaar is the Engagement Specialist and a Counseling Intern at HopeNet. Stephanie provides the initial intake appointment for clients seeking services at HopeNet. She is completing her degree at Emporia State University and will be interning at HopeNet in 2020.
Stephanie has spent nearly a decade working in mental health, assisting in the administration, supervision and training for a mental health organization. She has experience connecting children with adequate care in collaboration with therapists and others. She is interested in focusing her work on individuals working through depression, anxiety, PTSD, as well as those with a history of trauma. Her empathetic and observant demeanor help her walk with clients their pain and express the deep places in their hearts.
Stephanie and her husband James are missionaries with Disciple Nations, an organization focused on building relationships and prayer support to Christians in the Middle East. Stephanie and James have three children, a 13-year-old son, a 10-year-old daughter, and a 6-year-old daughter.
