Program Director and Mental Health Therapist

Jayme Dorr is the Program Director at HopeNet. She oversees HopeNet’s premiere services: Counseling, Coaching, and Engagement. She is connecting potential clients with HopeNet services, providing crisis call intervention and creating a welcoming environment. She also initiates and strengthens relationships with other social service agencies and other service providers to provide additional resources to clients and strengthen HopeNet’s referral network. Jayme has training in play therapy and EMDR and provides individual and  family counseling at HopeNet.

Jayme is a dedicated and empathetic advocate for her clients. She is fully committed to walking beside them as they find emotional healing, gently and generously reminding them that it’s ok to be human and to have human limitations. She is also deeply connected to the social service agencies in Wichita, helping all HopeNet clients have access to the many resources available to them.

Before coming to HopeNet, Jayme spent five years working at a homeless shelter, helping families in crisis regain stability. She also spent time in USD 259 working with children with educational exceptionalities.

Jayme is married to William and has lived in Wichita since 2011. They have one son, John. Her family and friends play an important role in her life and she enjoys spending time with them and finding new places to explore. Her hobbies include cooking, scuba diving, watching movies, and swimming.
