Katherine Lewis, Program Director, LCMFT, Mental Health Therapist

Katherine Lewis is the Program Director at HopeNet as well as a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist. Katherine originally joined HopeNet’s team as a mental health therapist in 2012 and returned to HopeNet in 2016 and 2019 following maternity leaves. Katherine supervises our Programs Team, including mental health student interns who are placed at HopeNet. She also evaluates and provides therapeutic services to clients and their families. She is an EMDR trained therapist who also utilizes Solution-focused and Narrative techniques as well as IFS to work with the strengths, story and context that are unique to each client. Katherine believes that the principles of trauma-informed care are crucial to providing safe and effective treatment. These beliefs drive her model of supervision and Katherine is honored to work beside the clinicians and staff here at HopeNet.

Katherine takes strength for herself and HopeNet’s clients and staff from Isaiah 61, believing that hope is revolutionary and can transform despair, anxiety and fear into joy, gladness, justice and restoration. Katherine works to hold this hope while walking with her courageous clients as they untangle the pain and rewire with hope.

Katherine has interned at Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center/PTSD Program and the Friends University Center on Family Living.

Residing here in Wichita with her husband and 4 children, she understands that life can be a roller coaster. Katherine has a deep love for HopeNet and she welcomes you to the HopeNet family.
